GetRedGifs values your privacy. We collect minimal information necessary to provide our service:

• Usage Data: We use Google Analytics to collect anonymised usage data such as browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, and session duration. This helps us understand how the site is used and improve the service.
• Download History: When you use our service to download GIFs, your download history is stored in your browser's local storage to provide the history feature. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
• Preferences: Settings like your theme preference and preview toggle state are stored in your browser's local storage. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
• Bulk Link Grabber Rate Limiting: When you use the Bulk Link Grabber feature, we collect a one-way hash (SHA-256) of your IP address to enforce daily usage limits. The original IP address is never stored — only the irreversible hash. This data is stored in our database and is used solely for rate limiting purposes. Hashed records are periodically cleaned up.

We use the information we collect to:

• Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with our website
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues

3. Browser Extension

GetRedGifs offers optional browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Brave to fetch your personal RedGIFs favorites and send them to the Favorites page for direct link export or individual downloads. The extension:

• Runs entirely in your browser - No data is sent to GetRedGifs servers
• Stores data locally - Your fetched favorites are stored in your browser's local storage, not on our servers
• Captures authentication temporarily - Your RedGIFs session token is captured only to fetch your favorites and is stored locally in your browser
• Does not collect personal information - We do not access your RedGIFs account details, email, or password
• Can be removed at any time - Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data

The extension only activates when you explicitly click "Fetch My Favorites" and requires you to be logged in to RedGIFs.

4. Advertising

GetRedGifs is a free, ad-supported service. We display advertisements through third-party advertising networks. These ads help us cover server and development costs so we can keep the tool free for everyone.

• Our advertising partner is CrakRevenue (Sellitize Ltd). Ads may appear as banners, interstitial overlays, or separate browser tabs following an interaction.
• Advertising requests may disclose your IP address, browser and device information, page URL, and interaction information to advertising providers. These providers may use cookies or similar technologies for ad delivery, measurement, and personalised advertising.
• We do not control the data collected by these providers. Third-party advertisements and their destination sites are subject to the providers' own privacy policies.
• If you use an ad blocker, you may see a notice requesting you to disable it for this site

5. Cookies & Local Storage

GetRedGifs stores your download history and preferences, such as your theme choice and preview settings, in your browser's local storage. None of this information is transmitted to our servers. Advertising and analytics providers may set their own cookies as described above. You can clear your download history at any time using the "Clear History" button in the application.

To limit popup frequency, we store a last-opened timestamp for Home, Trending, and Favorites in local storage and in a first-party cookie. The cookies expire after one hour; the local-storage timestamps remain until replaced or you clear this site's browser data, and are used to enforce the same one-hour limit. These timestamps are not sent to our advertising partner. First-party cookies may be included in requests to our site. We also keep a download counter in session storage to determine when to show an interstitial.

You can remove these records through your browser's site-data settings. Clearing download history alone does not clear advertising storage. Third-party advertising cookies and tracking are governed by the relevant provider's policy.

6. Data Retention

Your download history is retained locally for up to 30 days. Entries older than 30 days are removed automatically when the application loads, and you can manually clear the history at any time. Browser extension data is stored until you clear it manually or uninstall the extension.

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Third-Party Services

Our service interfaces with the following third-party services:

• RedGIFs: Your requests are forwarded to RedGIFs' servers and direct connections are established between your device and RedGIFs for content delivery. RedGIFs may collect information according to their own privacy policy.
• Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to collect anonymised usage statistics. Google may set cookies to distinguish unique users. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• CrakRevenue (Sellitize Ltd): Our advertising partner provides campaigns and ad-serving integrations. See CrakRevenue's Privacy Policy. Additional ad-serving partners and advertised websites may have their own privacy policies.
• Formspree: Our contact form is processed by Formspree. See Formspree's Privacy Policy.

We function solely as an intermediary for content delivery and do not modify or intercept content being transferred. GetRedGifs is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by RedGIFs.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
